Our Philosophy
Our mission at Head First Chiropractic is to introduce and
to instill the value of Chiropractic and the LCfE (Lifetime
Care for Everyone) vision to as many people as possible,
contributing to a healthier world. By working on your health
over your lifetime, by promoting normal body function and
keeping your nerve system free of interference with LCfE
you can work to maximize normal body function and keep the
nerve system functioning 100%. No matter what your
current condition, you will be better off living subluxation
free than you would be in a subluxated state.
An important tool we use in monitoring the state of your
health is the Insight Subluxation Station. Our office has invested in this state of the art
technology which has been endorsed by the Space Foundation, through NASA, and
has actually been used on Space Shuttle missions to monitor the nervous systems
of the astronauts. With this equipment we can accurately measure the state
of the nervous system and a score, the NeuroSpinal Functional Index, is generated. This
number, which is in the range from 1-100, represents the
state of your nervous system, your adaptability and is an
objective way to measure stress as well as health and wellness
progress.
When you join Head First Chiropractic you do so as a practice member and not
as a patient. Patients take a passive role in their health whereas practice members
actively participate in their healthcare. We form a partnership with our members
to help attain a lifetime of health.
When you become a practice member you take on accountability for your own health.
That being the case, we work with our members and we have no relationship with
the insurance companies. The financial obligation for treatment is your responsibility.
For ethical reasons we don't accept payment directly from insurance companies
to us.
Insurance companies don't examine you and aren't tailored to determine the appropriate
care for you. They may pay you for some of your chiropractic care, based on the
terms and conditions of each plan. There are a great variety of health plans,
each with different benefits, exclusions, limits, predetermination requirements,
and other fine print. We don't have this information - you should contact
your union or employer to obtain precise information.
Since we don’t need
to hire extra staff to file and follow up on insurance billing we are able to
keep our overhead down. This
translates into savings for our practice members, with our
fees being around or even below what many people have as
insurance co-pays. We believe everyone should have
access to and partake in chiropractic care, and by keeping
our fees low we are better able to achieve this goal.
Payment by cash or check is requested at the time of service.
We also accept MasterCard and Visa. If you request, you will
be given a receipt that can be filed with your insurance
company so that you can be reimbursed directly by them for
any services covered.
The ultimate choice of care should still be yours - insurance
plans are often poor guidelines of what's best for individual
people.
